My Doula Services
Clear, Supportive Care — With Honest Expectations
I provide prenatal care, virtual birth support, and postpartum support for families in California.
My services are designed for families who want emotional support, preparation, and guidance — and who are comfortable with virtual support during labor.
Important: I do not attend labor or delivery in person.
Birth support is provided virtually only.
Who This Is a Good Fit For
This care is a good fit if you:
- Are comfortable with virtual birth support
- Have a partner or support person physically present at the birth
- Want strong prenatal preparation and postpartum care
- Plan to use Medi-Cal, Kaiser, or another health plan
If you are looking for a doula to be physically present during labor, this is not the right fit — and that’s okay.

What Virtual Birth Support Looks Like
During labor, I support you through:
- Text messages
- Phone calls
- Voice notes
- Emotional reassurance
- Comfort guidance
- Help with decision-making
This works best when your partner or support person is with you in person.
In-person support available in Contra Costa, Alameda, Solano, and San Francisco Counties.
Virtual doula care available throughout California.
Not sure which package is right for you? That’s okay. In our call, I’ll help you figure out what level of support fits your family best
“A fantastic birth experience!”
Having Maria by my side made a huge difference. She guided me with kindness and made the birth process so much more manageable.

What to Expect When Working With Me
If you’ve explored my website and feel that my approach aligns with what you’re looking for, the next step is to submit the inquiry form. My time, like yours, is valuable, so I’ve designed this process for families who are truly ready to explore working together.
To ensure you feel fully supported, I generally accept new clients up to 32 weeks of pregnancy. If you reach out later, I can still walk with you but we’ll need at least three prenatal meetings (virtual or in-person) to build comfort, trust, and clarity together.
Once I receive your form and you’re ready to move forward, here’s how we typically work together. Whether you’re using Medi-Cal, private insurance, or paying out of pocket, this timeline outlines what to expect as we begin our journey.
Initial Consultation (Free 15 mins)
We start with a phone call to explore your needs, talk about your due date, and see if we’re a good match
First In-Person Prenatal Meeting
Once coverage is confirmed, we’ll meet in person to talk about your goals, birth preferences, and begin building your support plan
Additional Prenatal Visits
If you’d like more support or if we are working together later in pregnancy additional prenatal visits will ensure you feel fully prepared.
Text & Phone Support
You’ll have ongoing access to me during your pregnancy for check-ins, questions, and reassurance
Labor & Birth Support Virtual
When labor begins, I provide virtual birth support to you and your support person through real-time communication.
Postpartum Visits
After baby is born, we’ll meet for a check-in, feeding support, newborn care guidance, and emotional recovery
Ongoing Follow-Up
I continue checking in after our final visit because support doesn’t end when birth does
How to Get Started with Medi-Cal Doula Support
To begin receiving doula services through Medi-Cal, your licensed provider must complete a recommendation form.
Please bring this form to your next appointment and ask your provider to complete and sign it. Once completed, you can move forward with care through Golden Soleil Doula.
Now Accepting Clients for 2026
Because I give my full presence to each family, I only take on 2–3 clients per month. My 2026 availability is limited — if you’d like to hold your due date, please reach out soon.
Not Quite Ready?
If you’re still exploring options, take your time — this page will be here when you’re ready. When you decide to begin care, start with the Eligibility + Intake Request form so we can begin your onboarding smoothly.
